Meet our team: Board Members
Autumn Argent, Secretary
Autumn is a Registered Nurse who has worked with expecting and new families as a labor and delivery nurse and nurse educator for the last 13 years. She is currently the System Perinatal Educator and Childbirth Education Co-Coordinator for Northern Arizona Healthcare. She obtained her MS in Nursing Education in 2009 and is currently working on her Doctorate in Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University, with a research focus on breastfeeding, maternal sensitivity, and infant temperament. Autumn is passionate about supporting expecting and new families and helping them make a successful transition into parenting.
Dr. Cody Bayles, Board Member
Dr. Bayles is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor who practices at Flagstaff Counseling Center. He worked in a variety of roles treating general mental health and substance use disorders at The Guidance Center for 9 years.
His clinical interests lie in clinical supervision, psychological evaluation for ADHD, and treating a variety of disorders using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Additionally, he is a member of American Psychological Association’s Division 34, the Society for Environmental, Conservation, and Population Psychology, and Citizen’s Climate Lobby. A passion of his lies in developing environmental solutions for a sustainable future and promoting psychology’s role in doing so. He is an adjunct faculty member for Northern Arizona University’s Clinical Mental Health program.
Outside of his professional life, he can be found chasing his wife and twin daughters around Northern Arizona, running in circles on Flagstaff’s trails, or searching for the city’s best breakfast burrito.
Jennifer Butler, Treasurer
Jennifer has spent most of her career in management within the medical billing arena. In 2008 she started her own medical billing business and contracts with fire districts across Arizona and into Utah providing EMS transport billing.
She is the mother of two boys and a girl. Three years ago, she lost both of her boys, two months apart, to drug addiction that ended in suicide. Through her loss she has found a deep passion and strong desire to be a part of helping individuals overcome addiction.
Jennifer is a licensed foster parent and an advocate for parental rights and reunification. Currently, Jennifer is finishing her Master's degree in Sustainable Communities at Northern Arizona University.
Jennifer has three biological sons and four foster children, including a teen and her child, residing in her home. Jennifer speaks of the realities of foster care at foster care licensing classes to prospective foster parents. Jennifer works closely with the parents of the children she provides care for so they don't feel left out of their children's lives. Of the six children Jennifer has fostered in the last year, two have been reunited and a third is well on track, an accomplishment she considers significant for herself, the parents, and the children, and one she hopes to keep achieving.
Holly Creager, Board Member
Holly has over 7 years of experience working with substance abuse populations for a non-profit mental health organization. She worked as the Substance Abuse Recovery and Rehabilitation Manager providing support and supervision as well as oversight for procedural and programmatic development. Holly has a passion for helping others seek their own solutions and overcome obstacles they may face. Holly has experience helping individuals navigate systems and challenges including DCS, probation and parole, drug court, mental health court, and chronic homelessness.
Tanner Maher, Vice Chair
Tanner is pursuing her degree in Psychology with a Business Administration minor at Northern Arizona University and is the Children's Ministry Director at a church in Flagstaff.
Jillian Marini, Board Member
Jillian Marini is an attorney. Jillian represents parents and children in dependency proceedings. She works directly with families to help them overcome any safety concerns in the home and to achieve family reunification.
Marca McCallie, Founder & Board Chair
Marca is a licensed therapist with 5 years of experience working with addiction and trauma. Marca has been trained in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Somatic Attachment training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and has started training in Mindfulness Self-Compassion and Neurofeedback. Marca is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Northern Arizona University where she is researching recovery treatment programs for mothers with addiction.
