Keeping families together.

Can you imagine struggling with an addiction and the only way you can get treatment is by being separated from your child?

Our mission is to set a new standard of care for treating addiction in families by opening a Family-Based Addiction Treatment Center in Coconino County, meaning pregnant and parenting women struggling with addiction can receive residential treatment and bring their kids with them.

What is the problem?

Currently in northern Arizona, there is no place for women to receive residential addiction treatment in a safe space where their children can join them. Unfortunately, this leads to family separation. Often, when babies test positively for substance exposure, they are separated from their mothers and each go through treatment on their own. Typically babies are placed with a foster family while their mother goes to an inpatient treatment facility. Research shows this is not the most effective way to help families through substance abuse issues.

What is the solution?

Sage Home aims to set a new standard of care for treating addiction in families by opening an evidence-based Family-Based Addiction Treatment Center in Coconino County - the first one in northern Arizona. Families will be able to stay together, recover, connect to the community, and receive assistance finding stable employment and housing. The residential treatment facility at Sage Home will strengthen the current system and help fill the treatment gaps, but we need your help.

“Sage Home believes that parents are capable of providing great care for their children if they have the appropriate amount of support, encouragement, and healing.”
